Literacy

Bringing Hogwarts to You
Both classes were in the middle of reading the first Harry Potter book when school was interrupted.
This website has celebrities reading the book to you (the first is Daniel Radcliffe... the movie Harry Potter!) and many activities built around the book.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
1) Jumpstart: Play from Home has a variety of links to activities kids can do to stay active at home. Click on the tabs about half way down the page to find links to activities.

1) Mathology
Put out by Pearson Publishing Company. This has links to books related to math, and then activities that follow. These are the types of activities I would do in class. Highly recommended this resource.
You can scroll down to grade two for lessons specific to the grade two curriculum.

2) Story Studio
An amazing resource with a ton of lessons and activities related to writing. Learn how to "hook your reader" or "create a character".
This is exactly the type of lesson we would do before moving into our daily write.
